Lollie’s Got Legs!

So, just a few fast facts about Lollie the frog not Lollie the human

• Lollie the frog showed up in our pond just after a great trip to Santa Monica to vistit Lollie the human with Harold the dog cavorting in the stream. We named her Lollie because of Lollie the human who is an unrelenting force for animal and human welfare.
• We originally thought Lollie was a red-legged frog from this environment, but we learned over time that Lollie is a bullfrog, hence her new name, Lollie Jeremiah.
• Bullfrogs are an invasive species, so we will need to keep Lollie in our yard, which we have plans for. We already have a turtle invasive species, Sam the Red Eared Slider.
• Lollie is awesome, and we won’t know her gender until she grows into a frog and calls (male) or does not call (female). We don’t care about their gender and we call this friend Lollie or Lollie Jeremiah or Lolliver.

Update on Lollie

• Lollie is growing legs! This happened while I was in Oregon.
• Lollie feeds from Robert’s hand—and mine, too!
• Lollie seems really good, and she seems to be trying out arms and floating plants to practice her frogness.
• Lollie is awesome!
